THE resurfacing works around the county continue and Herefordshire Council has released a list of where the roadworks are planned for October.

The council said funding from the government has meant they can resurface some of the busiest roads across the county, which is the biggest investment the council has been able to make for more than 20 years.

The council advise residents to cycle, walk or take the bus if possible if you are travelling around the city.

The council said: "We’ll be off the city centre roads in December in time for the Christmas shopping period."

Here are the planned roadworks for October as it stands. All dates are provisional, as works are moved forward if they’re completed ahead of schedule, or may be delayed due to poor weather, for example.

Short diversion routes will be via Eign Street, Whitecross Road, Three Elms Road and Roman Road.
