THREE sponsors have stepped forward to help a community group clean up Hereford.

Griffiths, J Mart and Wiggins have donated all the cleaning equipment the recently formed Facebook group, Hereford Community Clean Up, need to tidy up areas of the city.

The group is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who want to improve areas of Hereford which have become neglected and need tidying up.

They are also supporting Herefordshire Council's Stop the Drop campaign to encourage people to stop dropping litter.

The next clean-up is on Friday at 11am, meeting at The Range.

The following events are: October 12 at 1pm meeting outside Holmer School; October 15 at 11am meeting at Asda entrance; October 21 at 11am meeting at the Starting Gate pub car park, November 18 at 11am meeting at Co-op Bobblestock.

Organiser Emma Jones said: "The group is always looking for new members, details of future events can be found on the Facebook group.

"Many volunteers have said it's is a great way of meeting new people, very satisfying to see the difference achieved and surprisingly good fun."
