THREE people – including a 13-year-old boy – were seriously injured in a crash on the main road between Hereford and Worcester.
Emergency services were called to the A4103 at Fromes Hill at around 6.45pm on Saturday after a blue Ford Focus and a blue Nissan Qashqai were involved in a collision.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a 13-year-old boy was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital, having sustained chest, head and leg injuries.
The second patient, a 51-year-old man, sustained a shoulder injury, abdominal pain and an arm fracture. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. A doctor travelled with both patients to hospital.
A 27-year-old man, the third patient, was believed to have sustained a fractured wrist and was taken to hospital in Worcester after being given pain relief.
Firefighters from Malvern attended to help free patients from the vehicles as well as police, a MERIT trauma doctor and a paramedic officer.
The Midlands Air Ambulance also attended but was not used.
