THE family of a 46-year-old man who died in a crash on the A49 have said he was "a friend and companion to so many."

Seth Fellner from Coleford died following the crash in Much Birch on Monday night.

A family statement said: "A beautiful and caring son, an adoring and cherished father. An uncle and brother loved beyond the stars. A friend and companion to so many. Our hearts are broken by his departure but we know he is shining on us all.

"The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and messages of sympathy at this tragic time and ask the media to respect their privacy and give them time to come to terms with their loss."

Mr Fellner founded event structure specialists, Silver Stage, in 2003. The company delivers temporary event structures, both in the UK and Europe, for music festivals and corporate events.

A 4x4 and a tractor pulling a trailer with hay on it were involved in a crash near to the Axe and Cleaver in Much Birch on the A49 at around 9.45pm on August 28.
