- WORCESTER Festival went out with a bang with a stunning firework display in South Quay.
- Hundreds watched as the display lit up the Bank Holiday Monday sky and sent in their pictures to the Worcester News.
- The spectacular fireworks display held above the banks of the River Severn, brought the curtain down on the popular 16-day Worcester Festival on Bank Holiday Monday and raising money for St Richard's Hospice in the process.
- A number of people commented on how excellent the display had been.
- Suzi Shanks described it as "beautiful", while Andrea Simmons wrote "great free display".
- Lex Hooper added it had "looked great from the garden."
- Over the past 14 years the fireworks display has grown in popularity with revellers watching on from the riverside at South Quay and from the bridge, although the latter was not allowed this year.
