A CELEBRATION of a former market hall which is now used as a community and heritage hub is to take place in Leominster.
The meeting to launch the Friends of Grange Court and Gardens on Thursday, September 14, 7 for 7.30pm At Grange Court, Leominster.
Built by John Abel around 400 years ago, Grange Court today is a community resource for meetings, exhibitions and outdoor activities, hosting many local organisations, and home to the fabulous tapestries which tell the story of Leominster in intricately stitched panels.
Following the launch, local historian Peter Holliday will talk about aerial photos from the 1950s to the 1980s and two maps of the 19th century to illustrate profound changes to the appearance of the town.
