MIDFIELDER Zac Sirrell lined up for Westfields Reserves on Saturday in their opening game of the HFA County League Premier Division.

Sirrell has started for Hereford Lads Club this season, but instead made the short distance to play against Orleton Colts.

Westfields Reserves came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in the match thanks to two second half goals.

The away side opened the scoring when a Kyle Whitticase free-kick was headed home by Connor Davies-Austin.

Orleton doubled their advantage thanks to a Martyn Jones penalty before Westfields hit back after the break.

Joe Williamson netted after 75 minutes before Ben Thomas struck a suburb free-kick with just two minutes to go.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bowley scored for Hinton as the reigning champions kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 home success over Leominster Town.

Bowley, who has also been on Lads Club's books, opened the scoring after being set up by Brandon Jennings, before Jennings doubled his side’s advantage with a header.

Elsewhere, Wellington Rangers and Fownhope had five-star performances in their respective matches.

Two goals from Mike Olive and one apiece for Ryan Daw, Nick Britton and Chris Bush saw Wellington thrash Malvern Town Under-21s 5-1, with three of the goals coming in the second half.

Sam Daffin scored for Malvern.

Tommy Bishop and Lee Marlow also hit braces for Fownhope in an excellent 5-2 win at Ewyas Harold.

Kieran Chambers was also on target for the Greens, while Will Lindesay scored both of Ewyas Harold’s goals.

Holme Lacy enjoyed a 2-1 home win over new boys Tenbury Town.

Following a goalless first half, Holme Lacy opened the scoring on the hour mark thanks to Jean Alveraz.

Lacy had chances to extend their lead, but it was Tenbury who levelled thanks to a Toby Gittens penalty.

But the home team grabbed the winner with five minutes to go when James Upcott headed home a Chris Freddi cross.

At Old School Lane, Pegasus Reserves drew 1-1 with Ledbury Town.

Charlie Docherty opened the scoring for Ledbury, before Curtis Wynn equalised for Pegasus.

Meanwhile, the opening fixtures for Divisions One and Two have been released.
