A CAMPAIGN group from Ross-on-Wye met with a county MP to talk about climate change.
The members of the LiveSimply group – an initiative supported by the charity CAFOD to help communities to live more sustainably – organised the meeting with MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire Jesse Norman as part of the Climate Coalition’s 'Speak Up' week of action.
The group talked with Jesse Norman about how all countries will be faced with decisions about how to meet people’s energy needs in a way that doesn’t harm the planet.
Therese Warwick, who works for CAFOD in South Wales and Herefordshire, attended the meeting and said: "It's hard to deny that huge investment is needed for safe, affordable, renewable energy which doesn't harm our one, fragile planet but as they say, ‘it's good to talk,’ and this was definitely the case with Mr Norman.”
