NEW enforcement sites are to be launched in three areas of the county where concerns have been raised about the speed of vehicles travelling there.

The new mobile speed enforcement sites will launch this month in Holme Lacy, Stretton Grandison and Clehonger by the Safer Roads Partnership in Warwickshire and West Mercia.

Local residents in each area raised their concerns through their local parish council or safer neighbourhood team who then brought it to the attention of the Safer Roads Partnership and asked for action to be taken.

Data collected highlighted speed compliance issues in all three areas, revealing that on the B4399 in Holme Lacy, 15% of drivers are travelling above 36.5mph and over half of all drivers are exceeding the 30mph posted speed limit.

On the A417 in Stretton Grandison, 15% of drivers are travelling above 39.4mph and almost 70% of drivers are exceeding the 30mph posted speed limit while on the B4349 in Clehonger, 15% of drivers are travelling above 39.9mph and over 60% of drivers are exceeding the 30mph posted speed limit.
