MIDWIVES, health visitors and maternity support workers will be gathering at The Courtyard in Hereford tomorrow from 3pm.
There will also be other voluntary groups that support new mothers such as the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) and Attachment Parenting groups as well as various new mother and baby groups from around the county.
They are gathering to celebrate International Breastfeeding Week #WBW17 but the main idea is to promote the breastfeeding support and other support for new mothers across the county.
Studies and anecdotal experience has shown that while a lot of mothers start to breastfeed their new baby a lot stop earlier than they might have planned due to lack of support and feeling uncertain about feeding their newborn out and about.
