CHILDREN at Withington Primary School took part in their own Race for Life.
Pupils were encouraged to remember loved ones who may be fighting or have lost their battle with cancer.
Children from nursery through to Year 6 completed laps of the school field, some running 5K.
Sarah Houchen, head of learning, said: "At the last count we had already raised £280 which is amazing and we are very proud of all the pupils who took part."
