A FAMILY-RUN Worcester city centre pub known for its warm welcome, good ale and homely food has introduced two new menus to tempt customers.

The Farriers Arms in historic Fish Street is a short walk from Worcester Cathedral and has been a firm favourite with locals, city workers and visitors for a long time.

The pub is now offering a new lunch menu every day featuring pub food and including sharing platters and home-made burgers.

There is also a new evening menu on Thursday and Fridays listing locally produced rib-eye steak and crispy pork belly with dauphinoise potatoes among the main courses.

Chef Shaun Taylor said: “We are offering classic pub food done well. Every dish is made fresh to order using quality ingredients and we think the menu has something for everyone.”

Pub owner Melanie Thompson said she hopes the new menus will offer a local alternative to high street chains.

Lunch is served from 12noon to 3pm from Sunday to Friday and 12noon to 5pm on Saturdays. The evening menu is available from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday and Friday.
