MOTHS were the star of the show at a breakfast in Peterchurch but did not feature on the menu.
Instead there were lots of moths to view, having been caught in light traps, activities for children and bacon butties on offer at the Hub, St Peter’s Centre.
Around 60 people attended ranging from aged one to 95-years-old.
More than 60 species of moths were present including the elephant hawk-moth, blood-vein and the declining garden tiger.
Event organiser, Tim Kaye, from Cultivating Learning and Nature CIC said: "It was great the see the whole community together being fascinated by wildlife.
"I am sure we have sparked an interest in young and old minds alike.’
CLaN CIC are also running a talk on moths later in the year. For more details visit www.clan-cic.org.
