A REPEAT offender has had her criminal behaviour order amended after she has completed eight weeks of rehab.

Elaine Brookes, 42, appeared at Herefordshire Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order, which was given to her in December 2015.

She had entered Whittern Way in Tupsley, Hereford on two occasions in June, which she was prohibited from doing so by the order.

But in mitigation, Emily Gourley, said Brookes had gone to the street to see her on/off partner- they have a 17-year-old son together.

She said: "There has been a slight gap in her offending behaviour with almost six months of positive behaviour.

"They (Brookes and her partner) have been getting on well."

Mrs Gourley said Brookes had completed eight weeks at the rehabilitation centre, Willowdene Farm, and had been part of a women's support group.

She said she has come away feeling more positive and had temporary accommodation.

Police said they would not oppose amending the order, so magistrates agreed that she could be allowed to go to Whittern Way.

The other conditions remain which include prohibiting her from entering any retail premises in Hereford, apart from certain shops so she can buy essentials, and not going to Pigott Close. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay costs of £50 and a victim surcharge of £30.
