TWELVE of Knighton's Scouts recently did a sponsored walk from Knighton to Presteigne.
The Scouts and their leaders left Knighton following the Offa's Dyke path to Dolley Green and then followed other paths to Presteigne. They then spent the night in Presteigne Scout hut.
The walk raised £427 this was divided equally and then £213.50 was donated to both KINDA and the Alzheimer's Society.
The presentation took place at the Offa's Dyke centre in Knighton before the Scouts went on a dam building exercise at the river.
Julia Llewellyn-Roberts accepted the money for KINDA and Karen Rodenburg for the Alzheimer's Society.
The Scouts have been working with KINDA to make them aware of Dementia and the effects it has on sufferers and their families.
