Conquest Theatre Drama Group presents a double bill of plays tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.

The first is Mixed Doubles by Lynn Brittney in which the Tennis Club is holding a quiz night and the Quizmaster's long-suffering wife has prepared all the answer sheets. The Club's Social Secretary has prepared mountains of food but, unfortunately, sent out the newsletters too late and only a few members turn up. As the quiz progresses, secret longings surface which erupt into mayhem.

Completing the duo of dramas is The Browning Version by Terence Rattigan: public school master Andrew Crocker Harris is due to retire from his current position of classics master due to ill health. As his final term draws to a close, a series of revelations relating to his wife Millie's affairs and the disdain felt for him by his fellow school masters and students cast a very different light on his time at the school. A leaving gift from a student appears to have mollified him at his lowest ebb, but is there an ulterior motive to this apparent gift?

See Mixed Doubles and The Browning Version at The Conquest from tonight until Saturday at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01885 488575 or visit conquest-theatre.co.uk
