THE parents of a teenager who died after being hit by a van near Bromyard have paid tribute to their son who "embraced every opportunity that came his way."

Harry Brodie, 19, from Bromyard was a pedestrian when he was hit by a silver VW Transporter on the A465 towards Stoke Lacy just past the junction with the B4214 towards Bishops Frome.

The van was travelling from Bromyard in the direction of Stoke Lacy at around 6.20pm on Saturday when the crash happened.

Harry's parents Debbie and Ian said: "As parents we are truly heartbroken at the tragic and cruel loss of our beautiful son and youngest brother to Matt and Josh.

"He was easy going, laid back and lived life to the fullest by embracing every opportunity that came his way.

"His passion in life could be experienced through his love and production of music; this was developed and enriched whilst studying Electric Music Production at dBs Music in Bristol.

"Harry was a very active person and loved playing basketball, going on long bike rides and had a keen eye for a view or sunset which he found mesmerising.

"He was kind and thoughtful, but never sought praise or reward. He was a very special young man, who touched so many hearts and really valued all his friendships.

"Harry was very much loved and will forever be missed.

"The family would like to express their thanks for all of the support and love they have received.

"All of the messages and stories from Harry's friends are helping us greatly and we want to encourage people to continue reaching out to us with stories and memories of Harry."
