FOLLOWING sell out performances in New York, London and Edinburgh, 201 Dance Co bring Smother to The Courtyard.

Telling the story of two men’s broken encounter, award-winning choreographer Andrea Walker directs a piece which asks whether you can stay true to yourself when everything else suggests you change. Smother is a raw, contemporary hip-hop movement featuring seven dancers in a fast-paced, intimate performance which touches on themes of addiction and obsession whilst exploring the relationship between two young men.

201 Dance Co is a new company which brings together experienced artists and producers to create daring new work. The company's ethos centres around creating challenging dance-theatre that crosses urban and contemporary genres and they are driven to confront controversial issues and challenge social prejudices.

Suitable for those aged twelve and above, young people aged 14 – 25 can get 10 per cent off this show with The Courtyard Card. Sign up for free now on The Courtyard’s website or at the box office.

Smother will be at The Courtyard on Thursday, June 22. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
