WYE Valley NHS Trust ended the last financial year with a deficit of £37.17m.
The planned deficit was £31.5m against a forecast deficit of £37.2m.
Cost improvement programme savings of £4.5m were achieved against a target of £5.4m.
For the first time, the trust does not have an agreed year end settlement with the Clinical Commissioning Group.
Discussions are ongoing with a settlement possibly not being agreed until June.
Cost savings have been set at a challenging £10.2m target for the financial year ahead.
The trust ended 2015/16 with a deficit of £20.5m. The deficits are not required to be ‘paid back’.
