HEREFORD'S first indoor climbing centre welcomed hundreds of visitors on Saturday for it's grand opening event.
The Send has opened its doors in a disused warehouse off Ramsden Road, on the south side of the Rotherwas industrial estate, which has been converted into a breathtaking climbing experience.
As part of the grand opening on Saturday, the centre ran a climbing competition and also showcased a photo exhibition of female climbers.
Nick Harms, who runs the centre with his partner Nina, said: "It went really well, we were really pleased. We were pretty much full all day. Hundreds of climbers came in.
"We also had one of the best female climbers, Emma Twyford, here running climbing sessions."
The Send is open between 10am and 10pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 8pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
