A WHITE stork which is originally from Poland made a county village his home for the winter.
Investigations into the numbers on the bird's leg rings showed he originated in Gdansk and spent some time at a rescue centre as a young adult.
He was eventually transferred to the wildlife rehabilitation centre at Warsaw Zoo before coming to the UK in 2014.
Since then, he has travelled around the country, settling on Dinedor for his most recent winter home.
He was last seen heading to pastures new in the east but will be fondly remembered by villagers.
