DANCEFEST are bringing Circuit, a packed programme of new dance performed by young talent from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, to Hereford College of Arts tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28.

The work includes contemporary, urban and jazz styles performed by young dancers including five groups from Hereford College of Arts, plus other local groups such as 2 Faced Youth Dance, and Dancefest Elevate Youth Dance.

Dancefest is a charity that exists to enable everyone to experience the joy of dance, and it produces Circuit in Hereford, in partnership with Hereford College of Arts. The aim of Circuit is to give youth dancers the opportunity to perform as well as watch and be inspired by each other.

Clare Wood, Dance Development Team Leader for Young People comments ‘It’s all about young people watching their peers and being inspired by each other. Circuit inspires our young dancers to aim high and it really helps them see where their talent can take them in the future.’

Hereford College of Arts students have gained great experience taking the lead in the choreography of their pieces. Gillian Hipp, performing arts tutor and dance lecturer comments: "Dancefest’s Circuit is a fantastic platform to showcase our students assessed work. Our second year Extended Diploma students have been choreographing and rehearsing for this event, as well as taking on production roles to ensure their performances comes together on the night."

The Hereford College of Arts 1st Year degree level Performing Arts students have developed their performance through collaboration with a talented former student from Hereford College of Arts. Marisol Collier, a dancer nearing the end of prestigious specialist dance training, has returned especially to work on the project with the students.

Circuit has been running for over 10 years as part of Dancefest's youth dance programme. It provides an exciting and inspiring focal point for young dancers across the region. To book for the performance at 7pm tomorrow, Tuesday, visit
