A CHARITY and school in the county are the latest to receive money from the Big Lottery Fund.

Herefordshire Disability United has received £2,420 to host a series of open meetings, conferences and seminars regarding the care act and how those living with disabilities are being affected by financial cuts.

This will allow participants to find out about help available and their rights, whilst ensuring adequate representation of their voice to the authorities controlling the services they use.

While Riverside Primary School in Belmont Avenue, Hereford has received £4,600 for its Riverside Outdoor Explorers project.

The money will be used to buy camping equipment such as tents, camping mats and waterproof jackets and trousers.

This will give young people the chance to spend a night camping and develop a love for the outdoors.
