THE Ely Memorial Trust is a local charity set up in memory of Emma Louise Young (ELY). Emma tragically lost her life in a road accident at the age of 23. The family faced unexpected funeral costs with no support available.
Her family set up ELY to help relieve financial hardship for families within Herefordshire who tragically lose a son or daughter between the ages of 17 and 25 in a road accident.
The president of Inner Wheel has chosen this as her charity for her year.
Over £600 was raised when members cooked a delicious meal for the three Rotary Clubs in Hereford: Hereford, Hereford Wye Valley and the Marches.
As well as enjoying the food, Rotarians were able to meet in a relaxed social atmosphere, but their mettle was put to the test with a quiz.
