THE Belmont Veterinary Centre is currently running a healthy weight and diet campaign at the surgery called Fit Fur Life to try and educate clients on the importance of keeping their dogs and cats at a healthy body weight and the importance of good nutrition and appropriate amounts of exercise.
To this end they held a charity dog walk on March 20 along the River Wye to the Bishop's Meadows and back again.
They collected donations for their local branch of Guide Dogs For The Blind.
They then provided refreshments, tea and cakes and doggy treats at the surgery for the walkers.
There was a good turnout, the dogs got along well and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
So far they have raised £287.23.
