A COUNTY farmer spoke about the importance of sustainable agriculture at a Herefordshire Green Network event.
At De Koffie Pot in Hereford Gareth Williams, from Caplor Farm and Caplor Energy, interviewed Patrick Wrixon, president of the European Initiative for the Development of Sustainable Agriculture.
Patrick’s input in Herefordshire is visible through his work at the Cart Shed and his role as NFU county chairman, but his passion and work also extends nationally and internationally.
He has been farming in Herefordshire for 30 years on a 200-hectare property in a family partnership.
With strong environmental credentials he believes it is important to demonstrate the link between food production and the management of habitat for wildlife.
The Herefordshire Green Network hosts a free entry discussion evening on the third Wednesday evening of every month, 7.30 to 9.30pm, at De Koffie Pot (at the back of the Left Bank).
