A DRIVER pulled over for having tinted headlights was found to be over the drug drive limit, a court heard.
Kevan Jones, 44, of Pinsley Road, Leominster, pleaded guilty to drug driving at Hereford Magistrates Court last week.
Adrian Jones, prosecuting, said that police stopped Jones while he was driving his blue MGZR close to his home at 5.35pm on December 22.
Jones was drug tested and gave a reading of 3.4 microgrammes of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, the metabolism of cannabis- the legal limit is two.
Emily Gourley, mitigating, said that it was the first time Jones had ever been in court.
"He states this has been a wake-up call for him and that he has hardly touched cannabis since," said Ms Gourley.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a £350 fine, £135 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
