A MAN was sat with heroin down his clothing after police forced entry into his property, a court heard.
Stephen Littlefaire, 51, of Orchard Lane, Ledbury pleaded guilty at Hereford Magistrates Court on Thursday to possessing 0.7 grammes of heroin.
Adrian Jones, prosecuting said that on July 27 police carried out a warrant at his home address.
"They had to use force to gain entry to the ground floor flat," said Mr Jones.
"Littlefaire was sat on his bed with a brown substance down himself and his shorts.
"Other drug paraphernalia was found nearby.
"An arrest was made and sample of the drugs was taken."
Chris Read, mitigating said that the amount of heroin was valued at between £50 and £60.
"He's not somebody who appears before the court on a regular basis and doesn't use heroin on a regular basis," added Mr Read.
"He accepts a problem with alcohol and is an occasional drug user. He has already received help and is no longer a drug user.
"It was only a small amount of heroin and is doing the appropriate things to make sure it doesn't happen again."
Magistrates order Littlefaire to complete a nine months community order including a three months alcohol treatment requirement and 10 days of rehabilitation activity.
