FIRE crews in Herefordshire have been carrying out safety checks at homes where recently arrived Syrian refugees have settled.
Chief fire office, Nathan Travis, told a fire authority meeting that firefighters undertook home safety checks at the new homes of four families.
He said: "We have worked very closely with Refugee Action in order to be able to do that."
Community safety technicians were assisted by interpreters from Refugee Action.
