A STUDY day on intensive poultry units is set to take place in North Herefordshire next month.
Organised by the county branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), the study day will look at issues relating to intensive poultry units because, they say, they are appearing in increasing numbers in Herefordshire and neighbouring counties.
The day features a number of speakers including a farmer who will talk about good practice and effective mitigation in poultry farming and a workshop with Helen Hamilton and Wendy Toomey who will discuss how to effectively comment on planning applications.
All parish councils have been invited to attend the event at Aymestrey Village Hall on March 4.
