TRIBUTES have been left to Hereford man who raised money for charity while fighting a brain tumour.

Shaun Skinner, from Bobblestock, died yesterday after losing his long fight with the tumour.

The Hereford FC chaplaincy and fan was diagnosed with an astrocytoma grade three brain tumour in May 2007- when he was given four years to live.

To say thank you to Brainstrust for the support they have given him, Shaun completed a number of fundraising challenges including a mammoth man versus food eating challenge at The Beefy Boys in Hereford last year.

A statement on the Hereford FC website said this morning: “We are saddened to hear that Club Chaplain Shaun Skinner has passed away after a long battle with a brain tumour.

“We would like to send our condolences to Shaun’s family and friends at this very sad time.

“Shaun has always been a big supporter of Hereford FC and he will be sorely missed.

“We’d like to thank him for his help and support since becoming Chaplain."

Shaun’s friends and family have also been leaving their tributes to him on his Facebook page.
