A HEREFORD nurse has 'braved the shave' to raise charity funds in support of a colleague going through cancer treatment.
Angie Prosser, a registered nurse and team leader at the Hereford Kidney Treatment Centre, teamed up with other members of staff and patients to raise money for their colleague, Marie Gittoes, who has been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Mrs Gittoes is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Cheltenham hospital.
Mrs Prosser said: "She is a fab nurse who now has found her world turned upside down and has become ‘the patient'."
Angie has shaved her hair while some of her colleagues have dyed their hair pink and a patient is growing his beard to raise money for the Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy (LINC) charity.
