ROADWORKS will be removed from Widemarsh Street on December 9 for the Christmas period.

A section of the street has been one way from Newtown Road to the junction with Coningsby Street since October 10 and was due to last until January.

The one way system is in place to allow construction of the new City Link Road by Herefordshire Council contractors, Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd.

The return of normal two-way flow of traffic will start on December 9 and continue until January 4.

But then the one-way system will start again for a further eight weeks while the works are completed.

Then night closures will occur for the resurfacing of the highway to complete the work required. More information regarding times and dates for closures will be available in the New Year.
