A SPECIALIST dementia support team will be running a new social group for those living with significant memory loss or moderate to severe dementia.
Crossroads Care, a charity which supports unpaid carers, run a successful Active Living programme in the Forest of Dean and will be replicating this service in Hereford.
The group will give people living with dementia the chance to take part in a range of stimulating activities in a calm and secure environment.
Claire Smeeth, Crossroads Care’s field services manager said "It gives people the chance to engage in stimulating activities as well as meeting friends. It also gives unpaid carers a break from their roles and gives them time to themselves."
Support can be given to arrange transport and full care support is provided. To find out more call 01432 355373 or email info@crossroadshereford.org.uk.
