THE skies are about to be lit up above Herefordshire as fireworks displays and bonfire nights are held. 

Among those taking place are: 

October 28:

Radway Bridge Garden Centre Fireworks Show, Whitestone, from 6pm to 8pm. Fireworks accompanied by music. £10 for a family of four. Proceeds to St Michael's Hospice and the MS Society. Refreshments by The Potting Shed Tea Shop.

October 29:

Pencombe Young Farmers annual Bonfire and Fireworks display, Shortwood Farm, Pencombe, HR7 4RP. Gates open at 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm, Fireworks at 6.30pm. Adults £6 and under 14s £4. Food and licensed bar available.

October 30:

Halloween and Fireworks Party, The Butchers Arms, Woolhope from 4.30pm. Homemade Guy competition. Bonfire before fireworks at about 6pm. Soup, hot pork rolls and toffee apples will be available.

Hereford Rowing Club Bonfire and Fireworks Night, Gates open 5pm, BBQ and bar from 5pm, bonfire at 6pm, fireworks at 6.30pm. Donations will be collected on the gate.

November 1:

A fireworks and laser display will be held at Hampton Court, near Leominster from 5.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for under 14s and £25 for a family. Call 01568 797777.

November 4:

Weobley Parish Council’s annual display at Hopelands, Weobley Village Hall. Torchlight processions through the village from 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, and the professional fireworks display starts at 7pm. Entrance: adults £5 and children £2. Refreshments and free parking at the event.

Kingstone Academy Bonfire and Fireworks. Gates open 6pm, fireworks 7pm. Adults £4 and under 16s £2. Under 5s free. Refreshments available.

A fireworks Party at Kington Court Community Care Centre. Start is at 6.30pm, fireworks display to be started at 6.45pm. Admission £1, food and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will be for The Kington Court Resident's fund.

There will be a bonfire and fireworks display on the Ewyas Harold Recreation Ground from 6.30pm.

Bonfire, fireworks and BBQ from 6.30pm at The Bridge Inn, Michaelchurch Escley. Free event.

November 5

Ledbury Charity Fireworks Bonanza at Hazle Meadow, Ross Road, Ledbury, HR8 2LP. Raising money for the Prince's Trust and sponsored by H.J. Pugh & Co, Marston's, Rotary Club of Ledbury and Westons Cider. Gates open at 5.30pm, bonfire lit at 6.15pm. Fireworks displays at 7pm and 8.30pm. Tickets £5, concessions £3. Fun fair, bars, hot food and ample parking.

Bonfire and fireworks display organised by Ross-on-Wye Lions Club as a charity fundraising event, The Chase Hotel grounds. Gates open 6.30pm, Bonfire 7pm, fireworks 7.30pm. Adults £6, children £4. Family tickets available.
BBQ food, drinks, lightsticks available.

Tupsley Quarry, gates open 5.30pm, bonfire lit 6.20pm, fireworks 7pm. Also rides, stalls and food. Bring torches and no sparklers. A free family event for the community.

The Plough Inn, Little Dewchurch. 6pm. Free entry. Bonfire and fireworks. Outside bar, BBQ, toffee apples. Live music in evening.

Round Table Fireworks, Hereford Racecourse, Gates open 5.30pm and fire lit at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £10 per adult but entry is free for children. 

Fireworks spectacular, Castle Green, Hereford. Tickets for the event, which opens at 5.30pm ahead of the fireworks being lit at 7.30pm, are on sale from Outback Records and priced at £6 for adults and £4 for children. For those paying on the gate on the night, prices are £8 and £6.

Orleton Young Farmers' annual bonfire and fireworks night
takes place in the field behind the Rec. The fire will be lit at 6.30pm followed by fireworks at 7pm. Entry costs £5 for adults, £3 for under 16s and £15 for a family.

Pembridge bonfire and fireworks, from 6pm. Glow sticks are available to buy on the night. Entry is free but donations welcome to fund next year's display.

Bonfire at the recreation ground in Kington from 7pm. Procession from the gate at 6.45pm. Hot food available, adults £3, children £1.

November 6

Treago Bonfire and Fireworks, organised by Garway Primary PSA. Treago Farm, St Weonards. BBQ, bar, refreshments. 4pm. Bonfire 5pm. Fireworks 6pm. Adults £5 and children £3.
