ORCHESTRAS Live present Manchester Camerata at The Courtyard on Thursday, October 27.

Award-winning Norwegian trumpet virtuoso, Tine Thing Helseth will join Manchester Camerata for an eclectic programme mixing classical favourites with a contemporary twist. After learning to play the trumpet aged just seven, Helseth has become one of today’s leading trumpet soloists.

The programme will include Deborah Pritchard’s Trumpet Concerto, Seven Halts on the Somme which has been created as part of the Beyond the Premiere initiative with Orchestras Live. The piece was written in response to the canvas series Seven Halts on The Somme by Hughie O’Donoghue which recalls seven stopping points where troops were halted 100 years ago.

The concert also includes Albinoni’s much loved Oboe Concerto, a sparkling Trumpet Concerto by Bach and finishes with Grieg’s charming and dance-inspired Holberg Suite.

Free transport is available to this event as part of The Courtyard’s transport scheme. Minibuses will pick customers up from Ross and Leominster an hour before the show. The transport is free but must be pre-booked online or by contacting the box office.

Manchester Camerata will be at The Courtyard on Thursday, October 27 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
