FEW PEOPLE are given their first ‘job’ at just three weeks old.

But Izabell Sullivan’s career path could already be laid out, after landing a starring role in a new version of Wuthering Heights, when she saved the day last week.

Antoinette Sullivan was drinking coffee in Hereford’s Starbucks last Wednesday when Paul Eryk Atlas, the actor playing Heathcliff, appealed for a stand-in baby after the original youngest cast member was unable to make it from Birmingham.

Mrs Sullivan, 29, said: “I was sat with a friend having a coffee with the baby and the guy who plays Heathcliff came in.

“I said ‘am I seeing things, or are people dressed up?’”

Mrs Sullivan, a mother of five, admits she was initially nervous about agreeing to allow tiny Izabell to take part in the filming.

Up until that point, not even friends had held her.

“I phoned my husband and asked him and he said it was ok. They were still setting up, so they said to pop over soon,” she said.

“I had just been let down for a baby photo shoot, so people were saying it would be good to have something to remember the first few weeks.”

Filming took place at Hereford’s Old House over several hours and Mrs Sullivan was able to watch the story unfold.

“She [Izabell] just slept the whole time, she was as good as gold,” the proud mum added. “It was the first time she had been held by anyone other than family. They were so lovely and reassuring the whole time. We had a right laugh,” she continued.

Filmed in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Powys and Shropshire, the independent Wuthering Heights stars local actress Sha’ori Morris as Catherine Earnshaw and Paul Eryk Atlas as Heathcliff.

The film is going to all major film festivals for the 2017 season, after which there will be a London première, followed by an independent cinema release next summer.

It is not the first time Mrs Sullivan has been in the limelight. Last year, she was featured in this newspaper – and many nationals – after going to McDonald’s for a burger following her secret wedding to husband, Miles.

She said friends and family have laughed at the experiences – claiming it could only happen to them.

The director of the film has said they will do a free photoshoot for Izabell as a thank you.

Asked whether her new-born has a career in acting ahead of her, Mrs Sullivan said: “If she behaves as well as she did yesterday, maybe. It was lovely. They couldn’t have been a better bunch of people, they were so nice and amazing with her.”
