A MAN who was driving to his brother's house to sleep for longer was caught drink driving.
Kristian Rigby, 23, of Radnor Driver in Knighton had been out in Hereford on a night out on September 10 and returned to the place where he was staying earlier than his friends.
Herefordshire Magistrates Court heard he was woken up by his friends when they got in at 5.30am so he decided to drive a short distance to his brother's house to sleep for longer.
Police stopped him on Aylestone Hill after they saw his windscreen had not de-misted and he was struggling to see. He was breathalysed and had 55mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath- the legal limit is 35mg.
Rigby, who pleaded guilty, was disqualified from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay a £250 fine, £125 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
