IT has been six years since Glasbury Arts last presented a Planetarium evening, an event which brings together art and science.

In the intervening years all kinds of things have been happening in space – probes landing on a comet and on Mars, and a British astronaut joining a multinational crew on the International Space Station.

Students from Gwernyfed High School will be sharing some of the fabulous images they have taken through their weekly sessions manipulating the giant radio telescope in Hawaii, together some of the exciting discoveries from around the world. Others will be bringing their interpretation of the universe through art to provide an unforgettable evening which makes use of the curved ceiling of Glasbury Village Hall.

Tickets: Glasbury Arts members, free; non-members £6. To book, call 07583 544110.

A free transport service is available – ask for details when booking. And a pre-event two course meal is offered at River Café for the special GA price of £12.50. To book, call 01497 847007.
