TO celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday Gillian Hipp, artistic director of Aerial Dance Company Hereford, has again teamed up with composer Wolfey Morris-Jones to create James, an aerial dance performance inspired by Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.

The free family friendly performance follows the encounters James has after an argument with his two aunts about some magic beans. James wakes to find a changed world around him and meets the centipede, glowworm, the ladybird, the grasshopper, the worm and the spider. The 25-minute performance is filled with music inspired from across the world, aerial and ground-based dance routines performed by the six dancers, who are all current or former Hereford College of Arts students.

The premier performance of James will take place tomorrow, Friday, September 16 at 6.30pm on the Kingsland Village Green (weather permitting) the second performance will take place at 8pm in the church which is hosting this year's largest h.Art group show. Organised by SMAAAK (the Friends of Kingsland Church), 25 per cent of all artwork sales will be donated towards the restoration and improvement of Kingsland Church.
