QUANTUM Theatre offers the opportunity to meet Beatrix Potter and her favourite characters as she tells the tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin in Mr McGregor's garden...

Peter Rabbit knows very well that he is not to go into Mr McGregor's garden, especially as it was there that his father met his untimely end and was put into a pie! But he cannot resist, and barely makes it home. In the second half of the show, Peter and Benjamin go back to the garden to recover Peter's lost clothes ...

Once Upon a Time there Were Four Little Rabbits will be at Croft Castle on Wednesday, August 10 at 2pm. The performance is free, but normal admission charges apply. Booking not necessary.

At the National Trust's Brockhampton Estate, school holiday entertainment can be found by following the Family Trail, exploring the property's 600-year-old history, or try your hand at paper-plane making, an activity inspired by the last farming family to live in the manor house. Make a simple paper plane just like children would have made in the 1950s. On Sunday, August 7, Brockhampton hosts the Animal Rescue Dog Show - with categories from 'cutest' to 'best behaved'.
