POLICE have cordoned off a South Wye skatepark to investigate a report of an assault.
There is a police presence at the skatepark, near Brampton Road, Newton Farm, this morning.
Police have confirmed they are investigating a report of an assault which happened in the skate park at about 8pm last night.
A spokesman said: "A 17-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of other males and suffered a head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment and later released."
The skatepark is expected to be opened by lunchtime.
