THE Linton Festival, held each year in the extensive grounds of The Alma Inn, Linton, Ross-on-Wye, is a three-day rhythm and blues music festival that presents great music and supports local charities and other voluntary groups.

The 16th Linton Festival, which opens tomorrow and runs until Sunday, is delighted to present 1970s glam-rock multi-instrumentalist Suzi Quatro, who will be headlining the show with her band on Saturday, while Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band will bring the festival to a close on Sunday evening.

Following last year's Linton Festival, the organisers were pleased to report that they were in a position to donate £3000 to local charities. In addition the 'Summer Sessions', a one-day festival also held at the Alma Inn, Linton raised a further £900 for local charities and groups.

Since 2000 the organising committee has raised in excess of £93,000, all of which has been distributed to the benefit of the local community in Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

There will be many more bands appearing during the three days of the festival and full details of these and ticketing can be found on the festival web site at www.lintonfestival.org

You can also buy tickets direct from the Alma Inn, Linton; River Music, Ross-on-Wye and at the Gloucester Tourist Information Centre.
