AN air ambulance was called to Hereford to reports of a child having fallen approximately 20 feet, a spokesman said.

Murray MacGregor, spokesman at West Midlands Ambulance Service, said they were called at 7.31pm on Saturday to Newton Farm.

He said the ambulance notes record an arm injury and a bump to the two-year-old boy's head.

The boy was assessed at the scene and it was decided he did not need to be airlifted and was taken by land ambulance to Hereford County Hospital.

Mr MacGregor said there was little indication as to where the boy fell from.

At the time of being published, the police had not provided any further information.
