THE Leominster community joined together for a family fun day in the sun as part of the town's festival.

The event, which was held on the Grange on Monday, featured tents and stalls from organisations providing entertainment, activities and competitions.

A dog show raised £431 for Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue while Leominster-based charity Marches Family Network provided a craft session called “Under the Sea”.

Entertainment was on offer from the Hand Cart Theatre as well as live music from St. John’s Brass and Chrissie J.

Guest of honour, novelist Anne O’Brien also attended a book fair in Grange Court at the same time as the community event while Miss Junior Teen Herefordshire, Erin White, raised money for children's charity Together for Short Lives.

Leominster Festival runs until June 5. Visit leominster-festival.co.uk for a full list of events.
