LEOMINSTER'S traditional civic posts have been appointed.
David Minton, Barry Simmons and John Stirling have taken up their new roles as the town’s official ale-taster, bread-weigher and fish-taster.
The historic roles were reintroduced last summer after records showed that in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Leominster employed two fish-tasters, bread-weighers and ale-tasters.
They will play an important role in the Leominster of today in civic and ceremonial duties.
