A FORMER Weobley High School pupil who has served with the military in Afghanistan is gearing up for a mammoth adventure challenge.
Carly Fisher, 29, will tackle the Forces March which sees competitors take on five ultra marathons over five days while in full kit.
The 29-year-old, who was brought up in Weobley and used to attend the TA Centre in Harold Street, Hereford will join a 105 Battalion REME team of 16 and up to 250 others, ranging in age from 16 to 83.
They will all be raising money for the Veterans Charity.
The route begins next Wednesday (25th) in Ilfracombe, Devon and finishes in Bulford, Wiltshire four days later.
Each day is an average of 28 miles in length with the longest being Day Three at just under 30 miles, and the shortest being Day Five at 26.5 miles.
