CONTRAPTIONS of all shapes and sizes were seen messing about on the river this weekend.
The floats – accompanied by many in fancy-dress – formed part of the Hereford River Carnival.
Saturday’s procession formed part of the entertainment found on both sides of the River Wye.
Musicians and dancers thrilled the crowds on the Castle Green and Bishop’s Meadow while a parade also wowed shoppers as it snaked its way through High Town and city centre streets.
The Hereford River Carnival formed part of the longer Wye Valley River Festival which got underway on Friday night with a flurry of fireworks.
That event continues for the next two week and moves down river to celebrate the beauty of the region.
