ROSSBEERFEST is being held over the early May Bank Holiday weekend and tickets are now on sale. The third annual beer and cider festival is being held in Ross alongside the River Wye and showcases locally produced beers and ciders. This highly successful event is being organised as a charity fund raiser by Ross Lions and Ross Rotary Clubs.

It opens on April 30 from noon to 11pm and continues on May 1 from noon to 10pm. Tickets for a day are £5 each, which not only provides entry but also a free beer glass, festival guide and a full programme of music with live bands playing on both days. Bookings can be made at rossbeerfest.org

On April 30 local singer, songwriter and versatile musician Duncan McCorkindale will provide the entertainment from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by Red River Blues, an exciting, dynamic, innovative five piece band fusing jazz, rock, funk, soul and blues, who will perform from 8am to 11pm.

On May 1 Junk Yard Angles, a great three piece blues band will ripping up the floorboards from 4pm to 6pm and Crockers Ash Scratch Band will keep the party going with raw, rough edged, funky foot-stomping rhythms from 7pm to 10pm.

So why not enjoy the May Bank Holiday weekend sampling some excellent local brews, having a bite to eat and listening to some great live music whilst supporting the local community through a well organised charity fund raising activity.

Also on sale will be Rossbeerfest Grand Raffle Tickets which, for only £1 a ticket could, amongst the prizes, win you a BMW for a weekend courtesy of Cotswold Hereford BMW or a Helicopter Flight for two over Ross or a cream tea at Pots and Pieces.
