A NEW digital arts hub will be created by a media group in Hereford following investment from Arts Council England.
The Arts Council’s small capital programme is investing £106,941 in Rural Media Company’s plans to create a digital arts hub, which will be professionally equipped.
It will offer access to broadcast standard post-production facilities including graphics, grading, animation and SFX to fine cut productions.
Artists and cultural organisations using the hub will receive guidance and support from experts at the Rural Media Company to present their work online.
Nic Millington, CEO of Rural Media Company, said: “This kind of investment shows a genuine commitment to developing creative media production in rural counties, and is a real boost to our goal of creating a digital arts hub for the Midlands.
"There's so much creative talent in this area and with improved access to expertise and equipment more artists and cultural organisations will be able to innovate within the digital space and crucially build new audiences for their work and reach new markets.”
